experimenting with CSS (formatting of this page using styles)

No major changes, but just playing around a bit with formatting. Let me know how it looks to you. Hopefully changes to the sidebar will be easier now that styles are more or less implimented. Do things look like they’re in proportion? Anything strike you as off? thanks.

css land. like wonderland, really, i think. you wanna be alice or should i?
the text wraps around the orange logo, ted. and the links justified right are harder to read than just left.
comments below have fff background instead of blue.
the margins of blue on page and sidebar margins are small, but seem to be working.
the sidebar only goes as far as it needs to, i thnk, not down whole page so i’m not sure if it’s cutting things off or not.
proportions of everything look okay. sidebar text is all perhaps one click smaller than it could be. i can read it, but might be smallish for others?
i like the dropcash thing… i gotta get me one of those.
i’m in mozilla 1.6 on the mac, btw.
looks good. m

Can Alice code CSS? I didn’t make the text wrap around the logo on purpose, but I kind of like it, especially now that we’re back to left-justified. I also changed the spacing between days and between posts. I also increased some of the text sizes. I also increased some margins and I like them better now. You?
Could you tell me more about the background colors you mention? I’m not getting it. Thanks!

the sidebar doesn’t go all the way down the page. not sure if it’s good or bad. how it looks depends on how the main column text wraps around it, depends on the what’s there to wrap. i’ve only ever seen them (sidebars) go all the way down. might be good to put something at the bottom of it, just so we know that it’s not truncating somehting, more comments or wahtever.
i think i’d want to grow the logo so the text all goes beneath it.
now i want to go figure how you did the comments feed. the rest of the changes look great. the ch.org homepage is really good too. nice work!

Did you get the comments feed to work? It’s a drag that the comments page for each post can’t be linked back to that post, but I take what I can get sometimes. I don’t see them up at PeaSoup yet. Did you decide against them?
I narrowed up the sidebar so the logo defines it’s width and added an ending marker so you’ll know it’s not truncated.
Thanks for your help!
