WINE makes Linux run Windoze programs?

A while back I mentioned buying some old Win98 for use in . I’d really like to get rid of windoze altogether, but I have the fichasplus program that only runs on windoze. Is my solution? Can anyone help me get it running? Of course, this also means getting running first. Help? Will this work?
